BLUE-CREAM POINT HIMALAYANS

PORTRAITS FROM OUR KITTEN FAMILY

At 6-weeks the Cream tri-color accent is just beginning to show in this beautiful Blue-Cream Point girl.  When there are two colors in the points, it is called "tortie" and is only genetically possible for the females to be "tortie point", not the males.  Notice the gentle exotic flavor the cream coral coloration provides to accent her Blue Points.  The body color is lighter with the blue-cream females than a straight blue point male who has darker shading on his body.  The pointed areas are the nose, face mask, ears, feet, and tail.  As you can see with the blue-cream point female below, her paws have a little of the blue point shading but the one on the right is mostly white which will develop the coral like coloring of the cream points.  Most times, their paws are both colors with darker gray paw pads in the blue areas, and pink paw and toe pads in the cream point areas.  They are very beautiful to see and cuddle!

This beautiful Blue-Cream Female is about 7 weeks old.

The larger Blue-Cream point female kitten in this picture is from our current litter born on April 29, 2004 with two of the Blue-Eyed White (BEW) kittens from the May 16, 2004 litter.  This is "Tasha" and she is reserved by Ann and Steve from New Hampshire.

These two Blue-Cream Point kittens are from our current litter born April 29, 2004 with a little BEW kitten in the back from the May 16, 2004 litter.  "Tasha" is on the left, owned by Ann & Steve from New Hampshire.  "Lexie" is on the right, owned by Janelle in New Hampshire.

This kitten, named "Angel" by myself and the kittens new "humans" kept the name, lives in Aspen, CO where the "rich and famous" play.  She is a good example of a blue-cream point that developed a unique cream pattern on her face mixed in with the blue points, shown in the next three pictures.  Each of the blue-cream point females is very beautiful and unique with seemingly no kitten looking like another.

These pictures of "Angel" show how the cream color of the blue-cream point females can combine in unique patterns.  Only females can have two colors in their points genetically, which is called "tortie point".  Her "baby" picture follows at the bottom of the page with some descriptions of the Blue and Lilac-Cream females.  Only females can have two colors in their points due to the genetics.

This is beautiful Angel at only four weeks old.  You can see that even that young, her face markings were developing.  She has KMR milk on her chin and we could not resist this ideal photo opportunity!

This is Angel again at 9 Weeks right before going to her home in Aspen, CO.

This picture shows the same blue-cream female, Angel, on the bottom at two weeks old with her blue point male sibling, and blue-cream mom, Silky above, of course!  Silky really shows the cream points in her blue point coloring as you can see by the cream colored nose and stripe through the blue point color on her forehead.  As you can see, Angel already showed the cream point stripe forming on her nose at two weeks old and she is a bit lighter in shade overall than her blue point brother above her.

Follow the black kitty on the fence pointer to the second page of blue-cream points since all of the pictures on this page, except the first one, were of the same female, Angel.
